NAKED Record Club Best of 2024 (Spotify Playlist)

Finally, after some deliberation and a large number of last-minute changes, here is the NAKED Record Club round-up of our favourite tracks of 2024. 

It turned out to be another stellar year for great music discoveries, made even sweeter by the return of The Cure, who are well-represented here with tracks from their stunning 'Songs of a Lost World' album. We are still pinching ourselves that it was NAKED who were given the honour of releasing the FIRST new material the band had produced in over 16 years with our live 'Novembre' EP (NAKED 007) and it's fair to say a lot of our focus was on the wonder boys from Crawley for a large part of last year.

BUT we also found time to unearth a plethora of exciting indie artists such as deary, Frontier Ruckus, Epic 45 and Gospel Beach, whilst established artists such as Joana Serrat, Arab Strap and Grandaddy turned in brilliant new albums upon their return. NAKED faves such as Michael Head, Ride and Vampire Weekend certainly didn't disappoint with bold moves. Indie stalwarts Idles and Fontaines DC topped off triumphant years with brilliant new records that hinted at exciting new directions whilst Heads Off and The Bug Club upped the ante with their complete lack of melodic table manners!

Listening back to this compilation fills me with excitement for what is to come and a reassurance that no matter how challenging modern life is becoming for those with a modicom of climate sense, music will always find a way to restore and replenish our faith in human nature.
